The Regulations of AFF

Name and Office
Art. 1The name of organization is AFF(African Friendship Fund) and its headquarter is locatend in Takamatsu City of Kagawa Prefecture.

Purpose
Art. 2AFF communicates information and promotes international exchanges with African countries, and smoothly supports those countries in various ways, in order to accomplish the purpose of NGO in Africa.

Social Works
Art. 3AFF undertakes the following social works in order to accomplish its purpose started in previous article.
  1. It understands the activities of NGO mainly in Africa, and cooperates with them in accomplishing their purpose.
  2. It supports the activities of NGO mainly in Africa in terms of supply, funds, and human resources.
  3. It promotes information exchange, lecture, and seminars in order to encourage the understanding of NGO activities mainly in Africa.
  4. It publishes a Newsletter.
  5. It plans various events to expand the organization.

Membership
Art. 4
  1. AFF consists of well-intended people who support the spirit of NGO and want to contribute them for the sake of peace and happiness of human kind.
  2. AFF consists of well-intended people who act gratuitously for public purpose.

Officials and Their Election
Art. 5AFF has the following posts in its board. Their term of office is one year, but supplementing official's term of office is the remaining period of his/her predecessor.
  1. (A)President : One person
    (B)Executive Director : One person
    (C)General Affair and Accountant : One person
    (D)Auditor : Two person
    (E)Directors : Some
  2. Directors are selected by the president based on the recommendation by other two directors.
  3. Executive Director works to smoothly acoomplish the purpose of organization, and is selected by the president.
  4. General Affair and Accountant is commissioned by the persident.
  5. Auditors are appointed by the president at the officer's meeting.
  6. When activities of each prefecture expanded, members of the prefecture can establish a branch office.
  7. The manager and activities of branch office is approved by the president, based on the recommendation of two directors.
  8. Each branch office consists of manager, executive director, and general affair and accountant.

Missions of Officers
Art. 6
  1. The president represents AFF and supervises its activities.
  2. The executive director supports the president, and substitutes him/her when the president is not available.
  3. Directors and managers of branch offices must exchange one another for the sake of tha development of organization, give a report of their activities and discuss necessary issues at the officer's meeting.
  4. Each member can voluntary recruit new members for AFF, and establish a new volunteer organization utilizing his/her personal talent(hobby) or local peculiarity. In that case, the establishment of new organization must be approved by the manager of the branch office and the president.
  5. General affair and accountant undertakes the general and financial works of AFF.
  6. Auditors audit the accouts of AFF.

Meetings
Art. 7 AFF has two kinds of meetings : general meeting and officer's meeting.
  1. General meeting is held annually. It discusses and approves budget, settlement of account, and planning of works.
  2. Officer's meeting is held when the president acknowledged its necessity. The president may invite members outside officers according to the content of discussion.

Accounting
Art. 8
  1. The expense of AFF is covered by membership fee, proceeds from business, and donations.
  2. Membership fee is 1,000yen per person, and paid at the entrance.
  3. Fiscal year of AFF is from April 1 to March 31.

Alternation and Abolition
Art. 9 This regulation cannot be alternated nor abolished without the recognition of general meeting.
